R.O.S.E., Inc. is a unique program within the urban communities of San Diego, CA in that it focuses on helping its program participants identify their purpose in life and assists them in pursuing their dreams.  The objectives of R.O.S.E. are to change the mindset and perceptions of all who go through the program so that they will in turn be more productive citizens and eventually seek to give others the gift of hope, just as it has been given to them.

TRASH TO TREASURES

R.O.S.E.'s Trash-to-Treasures program is where we take life's "trash" and transform it into "treasure".  This 10-week immersion program is designed to elicit the participant's self-identity, life's purpose, and areas for growth and opportunity. 

Throughout the 10 weeks participants attend weekly intensive counseling sessions, fitness and nutrition,  journaling and self-introspection to help begin the process of them identifying their purpose and dreams.   Using the tool of artistic expression many of the participants find the freedom and safety to express themselves freely, often uncovering the treasure of their life's beauty within.

TRASH BAG FASHION SHOW

At the culmination of the 10-week immersion program, participants gear up to walk the runway in the program's Trash Bag Fashion Show.  Here, at the TBFS, is where the participants get the opportunity to show the transformation of their beauty into the jewels they truly are.

Each trashbag fashion is uniquely designed and created by the program's Director, Sharon Julien who uses her talents to help encourage and support the participants in pursuing their dreams.

MORE THAN JUST A FASHION SHOW

To date, R.O.S.E. can attest to a 93.1% success rates in identifying and acheiving their program goals. 

The participants are given the opportunity to participate in the show not only as a model but also as fashion designers, showing their own unique creativity and artistic expressions through their one-of-a-kind designs and fashions.  After graduation, many of the R.O.S.E. participants go on to pursue their dreams, and often come back to help the next generation of dream catchers!

SCHOLARSHIPS

To help assist the participants acheive their dreams, R.O.S.E. gives vocational and educational scholarships to qualified participants.

R.O.S.E. graduates have gone on to complete their AA and BA degrees, enrolled in institutes for fashion design, pursued modeling careers, started businesses, and much more!

This is truly a program that works and is working hard to change the lives of those lacking hope in today's world, transforming them into true portraits of beauty.
